Mind Over Matter was founded in 2020 by Jennifer James with a simple but powerful mission: to make sure children and families in Hillsborough County, Florida have access to the food and resources they need to thrive.
Jennifer's commitment to service didn't start with Mind Over Matter — it started decades earlier. She began volunteering in shelters at just 12 years old, and has spent her entire life dedicated to charitable work ever since. Today, with 34 years of experience, Jennifer and the Mind Over Matter team operate and support programs that directly reach children and families across Hillsborough County.

Community partners are stepping up to help us feed and support local kids.
Mind Over Matter recently received a generous $7,500 donation from Suncoast Credit Union to support our Foodpacks for Kids program, helping us provide even more food packs to children across Hillsborough County.
We're proud to be part of the Tampa Bay Lightning Goals Getter program, a partnership between the Lightning and AdventHealth. Mind Over Matter spoke at a Lightning game and received a large donation for our Foodpacks for Kids program as a result.
